Thailand Mountain Trail Hikking Trails, Trekking Trips, & Running Tours Thailand 1mg0ivfw39gvfbeqb6ofvmaqkabnwx4s

It all began with an idea in 2012: open up – and run the length of – the first network of long-distance cross-country paths in Thailand. There was not any long hiking or running trail in Thailand and we wanted to be the 1st to create one. Passionate about nature and trail running, we wanted to go far from the standard tourist itineraries and create our own route, explore our own paths. Read more about our story

Share is a real good guide who know perfectly his country and give us a lot of very interesting explanations. The trail was great. He adapts his rythme for everyone. Despite a very rainy weather, we really appreciate this trail which give us a good view of the Thai jungle.

Had a really great experience with them. They were able to plan a morning till noon hike for us on the next day. Our guide May, was very nice. She knew a lot about the things we saw on our hike and she had a genuine interest in nature herself.

We forgot an item in the truck that was used to pick us up and they even did the effort to send this back to our hotel the next day.

Superb and very friendly advice, they also take their time and are very flexible in responding to personal requests. I can 100% recommend this provider to anyone who wants cool nature tours planned by locals, rather than just standard tourism.

We completed a two-day Lahu trek. While the second day went well and more closely met our expectations, the first was unfortunately very disappointing, even worrying.

Our guide, although friendly, was not up to par. He set off in a raincoat with the aim of "losing weight," as he put it, but given the heat and humidity, he acted recklessly, which put him in a very difficult situation during the climb. He vomited upon reaching the summit, which really made us feel unsafe and seriously undermined our trust in the team. He didn't speak English well and wasn't present during the social gatherings.
The first day of the trek lasted barely 2.5 hours, even though the website advertised a 5-6 hour hike. We reported these issues upon our return, requesting a gesture of goodwill, given the discrepancy between the service offered and the actual experience. Unfortunately, we never received any feedback, which we find unfortunate given the price of the experience.

In summary: a great second day that doesn't make up for a failed first day, and especially the lack of after-sales service. It's a high-priced trek, and at this level, we expect more professionalism, responsiveness, and safety.

Chiang Mai Heights Full-Day Trek: “The Ancient Opium Route”
It was truly fabulous!
We started with 2.5 hours of hiking in the jungle, followed by a typical meal in a Hmong village. (coffee producer among others)
Then, climb to a summit at 1700 m altitude with magnificent landscapes, before descending via another village.
In total, 17 km of hiking and 900 m of elevation gain.
A big thank you to the TMT agency for the welcome and the organization as well as to our guide for his skills and professionalism.
It’s truly an experience to be had.
I highly recommend "Thailand Mountain Trail" in Chiang Mai and hope to return one day!
Thank you 🙏

Brilliant 'Escape to Chiang Dao' experience. Our guide was awesome - 5 stars! Loved staying at Lahu and Hmong villages, trying local food and coffee. Sunsets, sunrises and waterfalls! It wasn't easy - there were some very steep sections - but it was so rewarding. An absolute highlight of Northern Thailand. Only note is that it wasn't clear that the Chiang Dao Wildlife Sanctuary was closed (it closes annually in the dry season to mitigate risk of fires) and therefore our itinerary was changed on the last day. Also the company is not Thai owned (actually French)

I had the opportunity to meet amazing people on the trekking. I’m sure they will stay my friends. The nature is breathtaking, and it feels so good when you reach the summit and you can relax again after hiking up the mountain. The food that you take with you, the lunch and dinner, is so tasty. It’s an excellent experience overall.

I enjoyed a fantastic trail running experience with a friend on the TMT01 tour over 5 days. Approximately 141 km and 10,000 metres elevation gain. The tour was well organised, good value and fun. Our guide Kui was brilliant. I highly reccomend. Warning, this tour is suitable for experienced trail runners and involved challenging ascents and descents on technical trails. Thanks TMT and Kui!

I was in Thailand on vacation to bike from Chiang Mai to Chiang Rai and also added-on TMT's "The 2 Summits"--it was a 29km trail run--as a one day trip. TMT accommodated my last minute request and even arranged transportation for me. The trekking and trail run was challenging and exhilarating at the same time - running up to Doi Pui, having lunch at a Hmong village and then running up to Doi Suthep. The views were spectacular. I am known for being a bit clumsy, particularly on trail runs, and rolled my ankle at one point - and the guide was fantastic and supportive and changed the group pace to let me recover a bit (he also provided so much education about the area and made this trek feel so personal). This day trip was a great value and a unique way to see some of the natural beauty of this area. I highly recommend this for any avid trail runners.

Many media have been interested in our project that relives ancient footpaths used by hill tribes. Several press and TV came to Chiang Mai to write articles and make documentaries about TMT. Thanks to our experience and knowledge of mountains, in the last years we have worked with major actors of the outdoor industry on different projects: National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Raid Amazones or Ultra Trail Mont Blanc UTMB. Thank you all for your trust.
